Dr Manoj Shah has been an Avid Supporter and Well Wisher of Special Olympics in Africa over the Last 15 Years. He has Been Instrumental in Introducing this Program and Implementing it With Lions in over 8 Different Countries in Africa. His most Notable achievement has been the Inclusion Program with The Leos in many of These Countries.

Dr Shah has also been Actively Involved with Special Olympics Kenya and a Board Member for Over 9 Years. He is also The Chairperson of The Resource Mobilization Committee. He has Been in The ForeFront of Leading The Kenya Special Olympics Team to The Special Olympic World Games in Abu Dhabi 2019 and in Berlin 2023, Where The Kenya Team Won a Total of 15 Gold Medals and 30 Other Medals. Dr Shah Was Also Instrumental in Starting The Health Inclusive Program for The Special Olympics Athletes and Received The Prestigious Golisano Award.

Through programming in sports, health, education and community building, Special Olympics Kenya creates opportunities that address the injustice, isolation, intolerance and inactivity faced by individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. Special Olympics Kenya collaborates with partners to marshal resources, implement diverse programming and act as a convening power of stakeholders to drive positive attitudinal and behavioural change towards people with intellectual disabilities in communities. Special Olympics Kenya was founded in 1978.
